    Autumn Vaccination Programme 2023

    We are now preparing for the 2023 vaccination season. This year we are offering influenza and Covid Booster vaccines. You can choose to just get one of the vaccines or both vaccines, whichever you prefer. The HSE advise that the following groups should consider Flu vaccine : Age >65 Age between 2 months and 12

    Under 8 GP Visit Cards

    As a practice we are delighted to see the extension of the Doctor Visit Card to children under 8. Unfortunately access to the scheme is not automatic and parents or guardians need to apply online at this HSE Site to avoid consultation charges.     Online Booking System

    As some of  you may have notices we continue to trial our online booking system. We currently offer online booking for our urgent clinic and expect to expand the range of services which can be booked online over the summer. We no longer require a credit card to secure a booking online. It remains possible

    We are currently in a very busy time of the year for GPs, and it is currently taking us 2 working days to issue repeat prescriptions. If you have left it late to request your prescription and are running short of medication please contact your pharmacy who may be able to issue a temporary supply.

    Appointment of New GP

    Dr. Damien McCarthy has been appointed as GP in Taghmon from 1st October 2022. He graduated with Honours from the Royal College of Surgeons and trained in Beaumont Hospital, Wexford General Hospital and Waterford University Hospital before qualifying from the South East GP Training Scheme.
